چکیده

The steady laminar stagnation point flow of an incompressible electrically conducting micropolar fluid impinging on a permeable flat plate with uniform suction/injection is considered. A uniform magnetic field is applied normal to the plate. The effect of viscous dissipation is taken into account. The governing partial differential equations are transformed into ordinary differential equations. A numerical solution is obtained for the resulting ordinary differential equations. Results are shown in graphical form. The effects of various parameters such as uniform suction or blowing, magnetic parameter, material parameter on the flow and heat transfer are presented and discussed.

HALL AND LON-SLIP EFFECTS ON MAGNETO-MICROPOLAR FLUID WITH COMBINED FORCED AND FREE CONVECTION IN BOUNDARY LAYER FLOW OVER A HORIZONTAL PLATE WITH VISCOUS DISSIPATION

In this paper, we study the effects of Hall and ion-slip currents on the steady magneto-micropolar of a viscous incompressible and electrically conducting fluid over a horizontal plate by taking in to account the viscous dissipation effects. By means of similarity solutions, deviation of fundamental equations on the assumption of small magnetic Reynolds number are solved numerically by using qu...

Viscous Dissipation Effects on Stagnation Point Flow and Heat Transfer of a MicropolarFluid with Uniform Suction or Blowing

The unsteady laminar flow of an incompressible non-Newtonian micropolar fluid impinging on a permeable flat plate with heat transfer by taking into account the viscous dissipation is investigated. A uniform suction or blowing is applied normal to the plate, which is maintained at a constant temperature. Numerical solution for the governing nonlinearmomentum and energy equations is obtained. The ...

MHD Boundary Layer Flow of Heat and Mass Transfer over a Moving Vertical Plate in a Porous Medium with Suction and Viscous Dissipation

The present paper analyzes the MHD effects on the steady free convective boundary layer flow of a viscous incompressible fluid over a linearly moving porous vertical semi-infinite plate with suction and viscous dissipation. The governing boundary layer equations are reduced to a two-point boundary value problem using similarity transformations. The resultant problem is solved numerically using ...

Numerical Study of MHD Boundary Layer Stagnation Point Flow and Heat Transfer of a Micropolar Fluid over a Permeable Horizontal Surface with Injection/Suction Effects

The paper deals with the investigations of boundary layer stagnation point flow and heat transfer characteristics of an electrically conducting micropolar fluid impinging normally on a permeable horizontal surface in the presence of a uniform magnetic field. The fluid is considered to be non-Newtonian, whose flow is governed by the equations of a micropolar fluid. The governing continuity, mome...

Possessions of viscous dissipation on radiative MHD heat and mass transfer flow of a micropolar fluid over a porous stretching sheet with chemical reaction

This article presents the heat and mass transfer characteristics of unsteady MHD flow of a viscous, incompressible and electrically conducting micropolar fluid in the presence of viscous dissipation and radiation over a porous stretching sheet with chemical reaction. The governing partial differential equations (PDEs) are reduced to ordinary differential equations (ODEs) by applying suitable si...
